A Look Under The Hood

We are building a robust and scalable platform designed for the long term. Our technology choices prioritize security, performance, and the ability to rapidly integrate future AI-driven features.

Key Architecture

  • Framework: Serverless & GraphQL First
  • Cloud Provider: Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Core Services:
    • - Amazon Cognito (Auth)
    • - AWS App Runner (Compute)
    • - Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL
    • - Amazon S3 (Storage)
    • - AWS Lambda (Functions)

Database Schema

Our relational PostgreSQL database is normalized and consists of a robust schema of interconnected tables.. This structure models households, users, rooms, tasks, and assets, providing a powerful foundation for future data analysis and predictive features.

API Strategy & Security

  • Efficient by Design: Our GraphQL API allows the app to fetch all data for a complex screen in a single, efficient request, ensuring a fast user experience.
  • Secure by Default: Security is paramount. We use Cognito JWTs for authentication and client-side API keys restricted to the app's bundle ID for services like Google Places.
