The House App ("the App"), a service of Silverbear Home Care Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the "Terms"). By accessing and using the App, you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site and the App. The materials contained in this App are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
2. User Age Requirements
The App is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. User-Generated Content
You may create, submit, post, or store content within the App, including but not limited to task descriptions, notes, receipts, and appliance manuals. You are solely responsible for the content you create and its accuracy. You represent that you have all necessary rights to your content and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove any content that we determine is unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.
5. AI-Powered Tools
The App includes AI-powered tools such as the AI-Driven Point System and the AI Communication Coach. These tools are designed to assist you with home management and communication. We do not guarantee the accuracy, effectiveness, or reliability of these tools. The use of these tools is at your own risk.
6. Professional Marketplace Disclaimer
The App may allow you to find and connect with third-party home service professionals ("Pros"). This service is provided for your convenience only. We act as a referral service and are not responsible for the work, conduct, or disputes between you and any Pro. We do not endorse, guarantee, or vet the quality of work performed by any Pro. It is your sole responsibility to research and verify the credentials of any professional you hire. The decision to hire a Pro is entirely at your own risk.
7. Limitations of Liability
In no event shall Silverbear Home Care Inc. or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the App, even if Silverbear Home Care Inc. or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to the App shall be instituted in a state or federal court in Salt Lake County, Utah.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect We collect personal information when you register for an account, which may include your name and email address. When you use the App, we collect data about your household. When you create a household, we automatically generate a unique invite code to allow other members to join. We also collect information about the tasks you create and manage within the App. This includes both the description of the task itself and the point value assigned by our AI. We may also collect and store files you upload, such as appliance manuals, receipts, or warranty details, in a secure location on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information The information we collect is used to provide, maintain, and improve our services. This includes:
- Providing Core Functionality: We use the information you provide to create a personalized dashboard for your household, track progress, and calculate your Home Health Score.
- AI Point System: We use the description of your custom tasks as an input for our AI to assign a suggested point value. This process makes the "invisible" work of home management visible and rewards it.
- Improving Our Services: We may use anonymized and aggregated data to understand user behavior and improve our AI models and the overall functionality of the App. This helps us refine our point system and task categorization.
3. AI Communication Coach Our AI Communication Coach is designed to assist you with communication by rewriting requests. The content of your conversations with this tool is not stored or saved permanently. While we may use anonymized and aggregated data from these interactions to improve our point system and task categorization, this information cannot be traced back to you.
4. Third-Party Services We use third-party services to operate and improve the App. This includes using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for our backend infrastructure, database, and file storage. We also use Google Maps to help you find and connect with local professionals. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
5. Data Security We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet or email transmission is ever fully secure or error-free.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
